Description
Genome-wide association analysis was conducted on a large Ethiopian sorghum landrace collection with considerable genetic diversity that have evolved under the equally diverse environmental conditions in the region. Several new loci and candidate genes underlying important agronomic, morphological, disease resistance and fecundity traits were identified. In addition the population structure and overall genomic diversity of the germplasm were characterized.
