Purdue University’s Field Infrastructure Assessment class investigated the virtual weigh-in-motion (VWIM) station infrastructure and how the Indiana State Police utilizes it to selectively and routinely stop and inspect potentially overweight vehicles. The VWIM infrastructure investigated in this video is installed on the Hoosier Heartland Highway, near Logansport, Indiana.
