About
The Agro-Climatic Data by County (ACDC) project was undertaken to integrate data from several different sources that are commmonly used for statistical and econometric analysis of relationships between crop yield and weather or climate data. Data from several sources with different temporal and spatial resolutions were combined into a single dataset with common temporal and spatial units in an easy to use file format (CSV). Data included are soil property information, weather variables over a range of months spanning relevant crop growing seasons, and annual crop yields (corn, soybeans, upland cotton, and winter wheat). All data are provided annually at the county level and are weighted based only on agricultural land identified using the National Land Cover Dataset.
