Public Description

French philosopher Gilles Deleuze (January 18, 1925 – November 4, 1995) was one of the most influential and prolific thinkers of the second half of the twentieth century. His influence reaches well beyond the discipline of philosophy, inspiring researchers in art history, communications, cultural studies, film studies, literature, and political theory, to name a few. In addition to his numerous published works, Deleuze’s legacy includes hundreds of hours of audio recordings of his graduate seminars given at the University of Paris VIII, and their transcriptions, many of which are available here
